Speed Demon is a Marvel Comics supervillain, most notably a member of the Sinister Syndicate.
The character originated as James Sanders, a chemist who gained super speed after being experimented on by, and exposed to, an experimental derivative of Captain America's super-soldier serum. After being experimented on, he gained his speed powers and his skin was turned solid white.
Sanders, as Speed Demon, first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #222 in November 1981. He has frequently tangled with Spider-Man and other heroes.
